Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) are board certified providers, who hold a master’s degree or
a doctorate in nursing, and completed their hands on specialized clinical training during their program. They must
be board certified to practice.

A psychiatrist is a physician (M DIDO) who has attended and completed medical school, completed a residency
program, after medical school, with a specialization in psychiatry. They may be board certified or board eligible.

As we are a psychiatry practice and not a psychology practice, we do not offer psychological testing.

True psychological testing is performed by Licensed Clinical Psychologists (PhD or PsyD), Neuropsychologists, and School Psychologists (usually within the school system only).

We can refer patients who require psychological testing to local clinical psychologists we have relationships with.

Yes, we are accepting new patients.

We offer telehealth and in person appointments to residents in New Jersey.

Yes. We offer fees on a sliding scale for individuals who have no insurance, and who possess and prove a financial need. Fees may be income based.

Initial evaluations are typically longer (about 45–90 minutes), while follow-up visits usually range from 20–45 minutes. Our appointment times allow deeper clinical insight, minimal wait times, and highly individualized care in a discreet and supportive setting.
